The Famous Wild Thyme Afternoon Tea
Looking for a truly special treat? Our Scrumptious Afternoon Tea for Two is legendary! Pile tiers high with homemade sandwiches, scones with jam and cream (the Devon way, of course!), cakes, and sweet treats, served with your choice of tea or coffee . Fancy making it sparkle? Add a glass of Prosecco !
Important Note: Our Afternoon Teas are very popular and must be booked online in advance via our booking system.

Whether you're meeting friends for a catch-up, treating the family, grabbing lunch while exploring Totnes, or enjoying a peaceful solo coffee break, Wild Thyme offers the perfect setting. We have plenty of comfy indoor seating and lovely outdoor tables for those sunny Devon days (al fresco dining, anyone?).

Planning Your Visit
- Walk-ins Welcome: For general café visits (breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee & cake), we operate on a walk-in only basis to keep things fair for everyone . Just come on in and find a table!
- Booking Exceptions: As mentioned, Afternoon Tea MUST be booked online . We can also take online bookings for groups of 10 or more (£5 deposit per person applies) .
- Opening Hours: The café is generally open Monday-Saturday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Sunday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm .
- Food Service Times: Our kitchen serves hot food Monday-Saturday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, and Sunday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm . (Coffee, cakes, and cold snacks are usually available until closing). Please check our Wild Thyme page or FAQs for the latest info.
- Takeaway: In a rush? Many items from our menu are available for takeaway (collection only) .
- Finding Us: We're inside China Blue on Station Road, Totnes, TQ9 5JR. There's plenty of free parking right outside .
